Atari are releasing a new batch of images from Simbin's Race Pro, looking quite good. The E3 images looked a little bit dull to me, but these ones peaked the interest again.

The in-car shots aren't that good. The lack of AF and flat textures remind me of GTR 2...

Now.......uh......this game is using such a low level of technology it is not even funny. It's like they are not even trying. Same models look the same as those in GTR2, I see slightly better shadows, but lighting--as dull as it was--is still the same, the same for the environments (they try to hide the ugly trees).
BTW, that grainy filter is stupid.

Cockpick stills looking really good.
A bit alike Grid, with that soofter look filters, but not so heavy like in Grid. Show me more.

The vid on gametrailers put me off because it looked slow, and the fact they turned into ascari at 200km/h over the curb and grass and it didn't do anything just kept going, hopefully that was arcade mode, but they did say it was "based" on the simulation of the pc.

It would look fine if it wasn't so damn blurry. I cannot stand that crap. I'd rather have a jaggy but sharp looking game then a blurry one v.v

Nah, I think you are blind, not spoiled.
If anything this shows what the Lizard engine can do. It is a big step forward for Simbin.
