Infinite Undiscovery: Demo video

Infinite Undiscovery: Demo video

2008-07-03 10:40:12 by BlimBlim

The Japanese version of Inside Xbox is today all about this first video from the demo done of Infinite Undiscovery a few weeks ago. It's worth mentioning that the framerate issues here are most likely due to the Inside Xbox stream and not the game itself.
Update: Second part is up, and quite a bit more interesting than the first one.

Does anybody know if we'll be able to play the game in Japanese with English subtitles? In the demo they speak Japanese but the menu in the beginning was in English. I really hope I can play this game in Japanese because the English dub is just awful.

Mehhh so nevermind the gameplay and that it could be one of the best JRPGs for a long time, I guess if the visuals don't hold up in a game these days its a stinking turd, nice logic you have. :S
Seriously. I wouldn't doubt this being the best jrpg we've gotten all gen when it releases. This gen is all about the grafix! :P

reflect drive
I can play the attack of the enemy back without receiving damage in a timing of the attack from an enemy by pushing LT in total.

I really don't see everybody's problem with multiple discs or not. I mean, won't we see that when the game comes out and it isn't like Blu Ray doesn't have it's drawbacks, with installing games.
Cmon, people play these games for like 50 hours, it takes them a total of 1 minute to swap the disc the 3 or four times they'll have to do it to complete the game...
like, what's the bitching for?

im with u their, multi discs are fine especially with rpgs as you wont be changing disc until atleast 10hours in.

this is not a dig at ps3 but i feel its better to have multi discs then large installs on harddrives.

on topic: the visuals are not great and it does give you that rpg feel that you have seen this a 1000 timews but the fact that it the fights are not turn base just makes this an instant buy for me

The problem with PS3 and installs is due the slow read speed, not due to little storage space on Blue-ray even if the game where small it still read to slow and it compensate it by installing quite a lot of common things to the HD.

is the slow read because of the ps3 or the blu ray disc?

Who even cares, I don't see either a problem, If you can't wait for 8 minutes for a game to install there is something wrong with you, and if you can't get up to change a disc again... somethings wrong.

I thought MGS4 had too much installing, but most PS3 games aren't half as bad as that.

I know it is because of slow reading speed of the drive, but tell me now... Is changing a disk so much more anoying then waiting a few minuts to install the next chapter of Metal Gear Solid 4? Some Sony Fanboys act like it is the end of the world that a game would be on two disks, and some MS fanboys do that viceversa with the installing. Granted Sony could have thought of a better system (Like the one in the Original Xbox (also in the 360 if yours has a Hard Drive and the guy who coded the engine knows how to the use it). The Original Xbox has one partition split up in, I thought three, sections. Working under a First In Last Out principle. A game uses this partition to install some crap, then the next game uses the next one and so on. If all three parts are full, the game that wasnt played for the longest of times is the one who's installed files will be removed. Same with the 360 if you use it right, you can actually detect if a HDD is present, and if yes, you can still use this mechanism to speed up load times.

I can't see why the PS3 wouldnt be able to do that, it would save the user a few screens of "do you want to install..." crap, but it isnt like it is the end of the world, because you have to wait 5 minuts before you can start your game. Seriously.

They got a lot of work to do till fifth of September.
Aya is missing the bow in her hands and the quiver on her back in the sequences of the second part. Voice act is mostly missing, sometimes improper, the AI got some bad errors and it seems like to need balancing.
None the less I’m really looking forward to this one.

The advantage of swapping a disc instead of an install is saving space, and a guarantee that you can play the game whenever you want down the road without having to delete other games or reinstall it.

Reminds me of PC gaming. Reinstalling old games over and over again is pretty annoying. Swapping a disc is a better idea.

Um then get a larger HDD, ya know you can swap the HDD in the PS3, just like you can a PC :S

Infact your arguement is quite flawed as many 360 owners with 20 GB HDD's run out of space and have to delete stuff to make room for new demos, videos and trailers, that they wish to keep.

I dont know, ive had 2 360s now for 2+ years each and have yet to run out of space, yet my 20GB PS3 is out of space and holds less than 1/10th the actual content. This is due to installs. I dont want to replace the HDD because I refuse to mod/alter/change my consoles for the explicit reason that I buy a console to play games without having to think of hardware at all. I also like to get up and go, which is why I loathe installs on both PC and PS3.(and if the 360 had them, id hate them too) Changing disks is actually annoying to me as well, but if I have a choice, id take it as it wouldnt take up valuable space that I dont wanna update.(for the record my 20GB PS3 is actually filled up with almost nothing but install files. I think I might have 3 psn games and a demo)

Point is, if you like PC's and their system than your likely the type of person who doesnt mind installs. If you hate PC gaming and just like quick fixes for games, than the install system is nothing but a nuisance.
