Real Call of Duty games won't be going back to WW2, just Treyarch's spinoffs, and who knows.. this may be their last outing in WW2 as well.

Not having the same team work from COD4 on this game is going to be tough, To top COD4 is one mammoth of a task. COD4 pwned all COD games
If there was a single game you could simply describe using the word * intense* it was COD4

I was not feeling this game when it was announced but after seeing what I have seen I'm slowly coming around to thinking it might actually be good and not like the mess that was COD3 or a lame idea like Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun.
I know Treyarch had something like 2-3 years here where they only had months for COD3 to make a game and in COD3's case I'm impressed but who knows till this one releases. I really hope they manage to redeem themselves though because a good WWII game with Co-op has been a long dream of pals and myself. Ah, if only a COD4 like sequel drops with Co-op.
Now when is this darn game to release?!?!?!?!

COD3 was to me a huge cluster F' of bad glitchy programming. Being stuck to invisible walls and or spawning in wacked out uneven locations on a level after having died was patience killing. Oh let's not mention the retardedly flawed MP play designs choices. The game wasn't a complete loss but it needed more that enough ironing out time for SURE.

Now I'm going to say something that most of you won't like. But COD 4 is a very good game, but it didn't give me what I loved with the first COD on PC. COD4 is a little overhyped: it was completely scripted and as linear as a game can be. It's both it's strenght and weakness. And it was very short, you can't deny that.
COD3 was a more of a try-out for Treyarch, but I'm convinced that now they have had the time (2 years instead of 8 months), that they will deliver a better game. Loved the trailer and voice-action.

You know how you know if your intelligence is not what it should be? It's easy. If you think Treyarch, who saw what IW did with CoD4 and how immensely successful that game was, if you think CoD5 won't be a CoD4 clone set in WW2 with a few tweaks and additions then your intelligence is not what it should be. The game and the multiplayer will be just as good as CoD4

the co-op is whats gonna sell it to me. cod has screamed out for some co-op action through the single player (the only thing missing from cod 4). and this seems like it'd gonna give me my co-op fix. plus split screen hasnt been thrown aside for online only like most games. which is good.

The only reason I picked up COD4 was because it wasn't WWII. It ended up being quite good because of it!
I just don't see how yet another WWII game is going to be interesting.
Pass for me.
