for a online multiplayer game.... it looks good... not sure how it playes tho....

the controll is far too slow...

I think MGS 4 will be great... not sure about MGS online

Okay, you guys might want to mention that the US beta isn't available yet since you got me all worked up for nothing. For everyone else, the US beta start time is 3:00AM April 26 (though you can still download a SECOND patch right now). Sony and Konami both fail at online.

Tried a match but took like 20 minutes until I got "unstable connection" but thats why it is called beta.

Character creation is great, I wanted my voice to be as close to similair of bad assness like Snake, so thats done, with a beard of course like Snake (and myself) :P
The face I took is "Type D"

Controls are fine, but it needs practice to memorize everything, I don't even know how to choke or kill with the knife even though I have CQC as skills.

The animation are very cool, its pretty much MGS4 animations all.

Sounds is great, don't know what the problem is here, and I have yet to play it on my 5.1 surround sound, which is tomorrow :D

But anyways, this is my first MGO experience, so I didn't know how it would play, but so far it's like Metal Gear gameplay and Lost Planet multiplayer type, if that makes any sense :P

Anyone know how to choke/kill while doing CQC?

It looks like something that should have simply been the online element of MGS4 rather than a seperate game.
Still, people will lap it up because it's MGS...

Been playin it for the past couple of hours, it's kinda fun but i can see it getting very frustrating very quickly.

Several times iv'e stood toe to toe with someone shooting right at their head with an entire P90 clip only to be the loser at the end.
Also, i've noticed some serious FPS slowdown 3 or 4 times and not during anything particularly heavy...

are you auto locking? are you aiming over the shoulder or in first person? are you standing or crouched? are you stopped or moving? are just holding down the fire button or are you bursting? what skills did you have equipped? what rate of fire did you choose for your gun?

I'd say make sure all thats right before you think its the game systems.

I think a lot of people miss the appeal of this game. It's the depth, it's the details. It's the team work.

I agree with nobelium, its more realistic than other run-fast shoot crazy games.

But I am still on the edge of how to choke or slit someones throat during the game.

I know you make a CQC by holding R1 but thats all I know :(

ok... one question does head shot kills? because from the video it look like it takes alot to bring someone down.

Also is there anyway to disable the soud of someone getting hit... it's nerve breaking...

This looks awful honestly. From gameplay to graphics, it looks just BAD. It looks like a cheap version of Lost Planet MP, and that wasn't that great.
