We today learned about an upcoming event, to be officially unveiled tomorrow. Microsoft, sponsored by Adidas, will host a whole week of free Xbox Live gold gaming, and is also giving the community alot of free stuff on the Marketplace. More info inside!

The week starts on Monday, 8th of May at 08:01 GMT/09:01 CET and ends Monday 15th of May at 07:59 GMT / 08:59 CET. They are also promising that new free Marketplace content - trailers, demos and exclusive gamer pictures will be released each day, but the titles are yet to be announced. Don't forget that it is the E3 week though!
So, what does Adidas have to do with this? Well, the week is of course about football, named "Xbox Live™ Football Free-For-All". It will give you a chance to play Fifa World Cup 2006, to win matches and end up as number #1 on the leaderboards (if you're good enough). If you're still number one on the 24th, you'll be qualified for the Xbox Cup in Germany this summer, and represent your country there.
The silver Xbox Live membership will magically (and automatically) turn into a gold membership on the 8th, so you silver-players out there, start practicing and promise to be good when you'll go online and see how the Xbox 360 really is supposed to be used!

It hurt a little, but somehow I think it made me more of a MANLY MAN. I've been there, right like, in the gutter.. Gotten dirty. I'm a bad boy, I'll need to start smoking and doing drugs, and start working on short, badly spelled comments about how something isn't next gen and be sure to put commas in all the wrong places.

Off topic... Famitsu scores are nothing to judge a game on they are very bias towards Sony and have been known to give good scores for $$$..

A Too Human and Gears of war demo would be amazing. I would also hope for a Crackdown/ mass effect demo but those are less likely since Crackdown is a wide open game and bioware doesn't have a good history with demos. And since the JE demo went over so terribly (I liked it) I doubt they would put out one of Mass Effect so early.

Regarding the free week, is it really a "gold" membership, or are they merely enabling silver users to use the multiplayer aspects for X360 games? For the Verizon promotion a few weeks ago, they did not convert silvers to gold, which means that older XBox games--such as Halo 2--would not work, because they are not compatible with silver memberships.

This is amazing they just keep coming with the good stuff and in regards to N3 I'm still buying that baby ;), but future reference I hope they never try to do so many things to please usa and european markets people wont buy a game because its targeted at them people just love japanese games and they should've kept n3 strictly targeted towards the japanese.
They could've made inphyy the only playable character and we would've been satisfied. In IGN they clearly say the most work went into the poster child inphyy, the developers thinking they had to create so many characters to appeal to the usa or european markets is something I didn't like. Anyway, can't wait for that baby to come to the usa :)
