I say keep giving us the option of choosing between Hig resolution videos and low res. I always download the high res ones and I even have a folder with more than 12 gigs of pure Xbox 360 material.

Now the car in the vid definately has the reflections off, I guess is one of the cars that are not done yet.
Only thing that I'm worried about is that every time you stop or turn slightly in the wrong way your car becomes a ghost......., I hope it does that because they are playing in Multyplayer???

New York wasn't optimised in the X05 build, which I would imagine this still is. I guess all they've done is turn off the realtime reflections so the frame dips don't occur.

It is so that cars can always go through you without being held up... aka cheating online to help a friend get a higher score. They probably made it so that it works the same in single player so that the other cars can still continue. Not very realistic, but if it helps keep cheating down (especially since I plan to be playing a LOT of this game online), then I'm all for it.

Good point there was alot of that happening on Forza. So I stopped playing it online. Cheaters are like hackers. They can't make their own crap so they just steal other peoples. i hopr this is what they have done for cheating online. This has been the one thing that has kept me away from online racers.

fohammer, that same feature is in forza. I'm pretty sure its always on in career mode.

PGR has never been about reaslism damage wise. It's just there so it's not as horrible as Grand Turismo. I hated it when I slamed into a wall and nothing happened. Some people say well that's not racing, but yes it is. A big part of racing is being scared to death of getting smashed into a wall. And with the new per-pixel motion blur and some sort of damage you get afraid and you feel like that would really hurt if you'd hit that wall now. Heck, just watching the movies you can see that thos cars are moving really fast with a lot of enersha (sp?). Also, this game features great looking cars that most people don't want to be damaged a lot, so the little damage that is in the game is perfect.

EDIT: These games make me want to own a TV tuner card such as an ATi All In Wonder to capture these hig-res, per-pixel motion blurred, overloaded with effects games.

This is sort of off topic-but I wish that videogame cheaters exploiting software/hardware holes weren't just considered "hackers"--there's actually a really large and active hacker community out there--one that often (though, admittably not always) conform to societies laws and are good people with good morals.

But these aren't the people who we're talking about, I find it unfortunate that these creeps share the same title.

At the last HOPE convention (hackers on planet earth) we even had the Woz deliver a keynote--if he's not a whitehat hacker--I don't know who is.


I am not talking about gliches. I think you and everyone else knows what cheating is. You sound like a cheater to me don't defend the act of cowards. Play the games fair dude that's all. If you want to goof around do it with the understanding of everyone involved. My I should rent this game first to see what the cheating will be like. But maybe I should just pass, because of what "cyber nerds" do to competition online. Eitherway thanks for reading my comment

When I seen the photo mode, I walk out of the room, posed for a min, catched my breath, calm down.. walk back in and screamed OMFG!!!... That shit is hot take photos of ur car at any time... LOL Ill be doing a power slide and pause take a photo of my car doing a powerslide, with smoke and everything... sigh, thank you Microsoft.. my dreams are coming true and it look real!!! I just send that pic to my computer and add myself in it hehehe I have Photoshop CS2 :).. oh and Blim! keep doing what u doing.ur doing great.1

Im ok with the ghost feature in multyplayer mode, But I certainly dont wnat it on single player caus eit takes away realism, and I know this isnt a simulator but still

If they aren't getting paid for putting some of the best stuff on the web in regards to this XBOX stuff allowing me to be the first to donate to your pay pal accounts...! lol. Its just awesome to see a photo mode, because that is what PGR has been all about....! Come on boys and girls...lets say it together...."KUDOS". That's right. The reason to master a powerslide...! A donut...a K turn spin out. All for the Kudos...! And now with the ability to photo catch it...and being invited to a all around tourney so others can watch you and applaud....for u...! Yes...rumor mill...."someone watches you playing PGR3 and you do something sweet...or its just ya buddy giving you that friend support. The person can hit the space bar or a button on the controller and applaud for you....!?! Sick...if its true...and not some of Mr Allaurd's hype up...! Well, we will see. DOes anyone know the total car count for this one...!?!? I pretty much know if I can afford it...if won't be in the game....!

This is just beautiful... This really is the ultimate launch title. When ever the driver enters in car view I just crap my pants. Who said this game has no sense of speed?

Great stuff how do you do it.. another thing how many players allowed in mutiplayer?And is it true that the skid marks make by the cars stay through out the whole race forming the racing line?

8 players multiplayer. Tracks are a bit narrow for anymore than that. High res video, keep 'em coming.
