At first announced on Xbox, then canceled, then finally announced for 360, Chromehounds has a rather long history now. Well it's now finally available in Japan and Europe, and even if my full impressions will have to wait until I've played the game a bit more, here are the first 10 minutes of the game, showing a CG cutscene and the full totorial level. More videos in the next few days. The game runs at 60 fps, so do the videos. A powerful PC is required for the 720p version!

Yeah i really think the water splash effects are from the PS1 days. (PS2 and Xbox had it) I thought that would've all changed by now.

I don't know about that myro screenshots can be really deceiving. Gamespot said the same thing about the running water in tomb raider legend on the 360 from screens it looks like crap on the 360 in motion i'm sure that water splash effect will most likely look alot better.

Can't vouch for its quality, but I can pretty much be sure it'll look better in motion.

Never judge a game too harshly via screenshots or videos, because they are in no way capable of properly representing what the game truly looks like were you to see it running in front of you on a 360

It certainly looks the part, I just get bored of circling and circling and circling and firing and firing and firing in games like this. Hopefully it offers something different.

I soooo resisted saying that... thanks for filling in :) They are using translucent polys with a water spray texture on them... really, Xenos has a ton of unused ALUs at this point, they could make a killer water spray! Time... time... time... must suck being a dev.

I am too poor to own a 360... therefor I play with paper statistics. The results of my indepth scientific anaylisis determined the most important benchmark is Pi. As in The Ring of Light.

I don't think the environments look bad at all. Only the splash effects, which I also agree- will look better when the game is running.

But wow the mechs look fantastic. Hopefully the gameplay will be more tactical and less like how Slabs has described it.
