At first announced on Xbox, then canceled, then finally announced for 360, Chromehounds has a rather long history now. Well it's now finally available in Japan and Europe, and even if my full impressions will have to wait until I've played the game a bit more, here are the first 10 minutes of the game, showing a CG cutscene and the full totorial level. More videos in the next few days. The game runs at 60 fps, so do the videos. A powerful PC is required for the 720p version!

Looks incredible, the "persistent world" Idea sounds amazing as well.
Does anyone know if there is a single player campeign or is it just MP?

Looks cool you gota love Japanese devs and their 60 fps :-)

Makes me wonder what this could have looked like at 30 fps though :(

Hahahahaha They make it 30fps and people complain that it is not smooth enough; make it 60fps people complain it could look better! There is now winning! Hahaha

Yea i know what ya mean Acert but i don't notice the difference if a game is designed with 30 fps in mind (PGR3) it looks just as good to me.

I would rather see the extra detail anyday..

It's generally PC gamers that complain about 30fps vs 60fps.

There is a single player campaign yes. Also jolli we can't say for sure how incredible it looks yet since we are looking at it through such a small video. For example when I watch the lost planet 720p trailer on my pc its looks great yes, but on my 360 it looks better. Its only a video, but for some reason it just looks better.

Anyway I'm pretty sure this game is alot prettier than we can tell so far. Teamxbox was really impressed with it since they saw it in action.

EDIT:: Oh yea TAKE THAT acert I posted it sooner than you did. You sooooo got 1 upped :P

Just giving you a hard time. Preferences are cool. Obviously GPU bound games have to decide: Prettier graphics or higher framerate. I agree on PGR3. I tend to like faster framerates on racers, but 30fps w/ motion blur seems to be solid enough for my tastes. Although there are some sim gamers who would have a heart attack reading that!

Chromehounds looks likea game that can benefit from smooth framerates though, helps it feel more simmy. Looking solid. A lot of things I could complain about graphically, but there are also parts that look really good. Hopefully they will do a sequal with an even nicer engine. For this one, if it plays well + sells well I would be happy.

This is coming on nicely. I think 'Myro the Mech lover' would approve.

I saw this baby on g4tv not too long ago and let me tell you it is gorgeous. Amazing lighting, the shadows look awesome and the great lighting and shadows is well complemented by the great textures.

Its hard to get a feel for just how awesome this game looks, but I saw this baby on a 50 inch hi def tv and the graphics on this game I'm sure will surprise anyone on here. Those small videos really aren't doing this game any favors. Basically I never thought I'd see the day a mech game looks this good.
