2006-01-13 14:06:53 Bug in DOA4 eraises saves?

Just read on Eurogamer (Have some intersting stuff but always take it with a pinch of salt) that there is a bug in the US version of DOA4 that's been deleteing peoples saves, does anyone have any info on this. e.g. conditions under which this happens? If it happens at all.

Yeah it is true not sure what causes it, something having to do with your gamer profile not being signed in.

Just make sure you're signed in completly with your gamercard etc before starting to play DOA4.. There is a bug that causes the game to autosave over your old profile causing you to lose all your progress if you are not properly signed in.. It's true and they are working on a patch to fix it..

It happened to me. First CoD2, then DOA4. Both games were a real bitch to work through the first time too.

Seems that these games are really tempermental about switching profiles while the game is running, a feature which I'm sure is supposed to be supported.

So I recommend to everyone who shares an X360, go back to the dashboard and switch profiles, then restart the game. DO NOT try to do it in game via the guide button; you are only asking for trouble. (Same goes for CoD2.)

I read that the way to play DOA4 until they patch it is to press the eject button to start the system up, wait for it to login to your profile and then push it again to load the game up.

That's a good idea too.

Also, if you are planning to take your memory card to your friend's house to play some versus, be sure to back up your save on your HDD first. Having two prifiles loaded at once is another iffy scenario.

sometimes if i dont turn on my 360 with the wirelees controller, it doesnt show my saves. this only happens when i turn it on using the power button on the sytem itself.
