My pet name certainly says it all. And re-read that statement, and try hard to think of a way it's supposed to offend you. If you can find one, you're clearly more crazy than I thought. You must find your own double standards as offensive as the ones you seem to see in me.

I don't think alimo would be happy if we locked this thread because you guys like to duke it out.

Back to the Code: Veronica thing. I just set up my dreamcast to take a look at it after quite some time, and guess what, i found myself having a blast with it.
The cinematic angles of the original concept of RE complemented with striking (for the time, and they are still wonderful today) realtime 3D graphics which permitted camera movements, are IMO the best interpretation of the series.

I really suggest anyone who didn't play this game, to find a way to enjoy it (The ps2 version was jagged as hell, so the best choice would be to get it on Dreamcast)

i've played it on both the DC and the ps2 and really saw no difference visually. at least not on an SD TV...as for the game itself tho, its the only resident evil game i didnt like at all. not sure why that was, but i didnt like it. if anyone was to check out any older resi title (pre resi 4) i sugest REmake. classic gameplay, looks amazing and has enough alterations to the game to make it feel fresh compared to the PSone original, while retaining the resident evil feel. best game in the series imo. how a remake should be.

Code Veronica looked a lot better than the PS2 game sorry to say. PS2 was for most of it's life difficult to dev for (like another system I'm familiar with this gen) and therefor the DC version had superior textures and models.

Also every time you call it "RESI", I'm pretty sure a baby dies as Plumb throws it from a moving vehicle

For what Resident Evil used to be, Code Veronica is the quintessential game of it's series. What we have now is not what it used to be, but honestly it had been the way it was for long enough. Code Veronica was pretty much as good as it was going to get.

I agree with an earlier comment complaining about the new control set up. I'd wager that while the new set up could be a step in the right direction, the game itself certainly won't be completely revamped to fit that new scheme. They'll need new enemies and ai to react to your ability to take cover, etc. I feel it's too far into development to assess the new scheme.
