Here is the deal folks: I have a 360 (finally, I know) and am itching to get whipped by my fellow Gamersyders. Think of this as payback for all those boulets and bans. I suck, so have fun trashing me :D

I know most of us run different schedules (e.g. I am on on in the middle of the night ~12am to 7am EST) so hooking up with everyone will be difficult, but we can at least try to hook up with those who are available at our gaming times.

The goal is to select 2 or 3 tracks and a couple cars so people can practice during the week. When the weekend comes, gloves come off and have some fun challenging fellow Gamersyders. HOPEFULLY we can get a handful of guys from Gamersyde together and have some fun.

FM2 is pretty cheap now, so for those who passed it over (Grift, Op) pick it up and start practicing! If this goes well we can try another game next week ... like Halo 3.

Lebato, Jin, Milhous, etc offer up some solid tracks and cars. Preferably stuff that isn't too long or too hard but also seperates the chaf from the wheat. (Easy to learn tracks, hard to master). I could be wrong, but my short 2 weeks with the game has left me feeling going with the same car for every driver results in more comeptitive races focused on the racing (versus someone with mad skills with a difficult car blowing away the field). But I will let the experts chime away on how this should be run.

I do have Forza 2 Acert :). Most definitely didn't pass it over because it's the best racer so far this gen. I've owned it for a pretty long time now.

I guess it makes sense that you would probably go based on my Gamertag "OpTiMuS NYC". I own more than one 360 so there are games that I own that you don't see on my gamertag. I own Fifa 08, Forza 2, NBA Street Homecourt, started enchanted arms on my original gamertag, but finished it on the 360 in my living room. I also have Eternal Sonata on that one and as you guys can probably see, I didn't even beat Lost Odyssey on my current Gamertag, but I did start from scratch on my other 360 and beat it there.

Were it not for certain games being played on the only 360 I actually have hooked up to the internet, games like Halo 3, COD4, Gears of War, GTA IV wouldn't even be listed on my gamertag. I've still to this day, haven't gone online with any of those games. Which is pretty surprising considering I was having so much fun with the Halo 3 beta.

Well, it's Forza 2 so you only got 12 tracks to choose from lol.

Now, I did start playing FM2 not too long ago. Career mode can be a total pain--in a majority of events, there is always 1 or 2 cars with such a much higher rating than the rest of the field that make the race totally impossible to enjoy. It basically becomes a 1 on 1. Still, changing the difficulty per event can be helpful and helps a lot with the frustration factor.

Don't count me in, but I could be there why not. I have built a study plan that will take ~3 months to study for the CCNA exam, so pretty much every day I'm studying at the very least 2 hours/day and weekends can get crazy. Since I have regular classes to attend to, work, it can get busy--but they say there is time for everything!

Interesting. My car is always sliding in the grass so you will get good laughs about that if I'll join the event. Other option is that I will make some big crash event there like usually. I am not even trying to do it but those other cars are just magnets I guess :/

I'll have to check the racing times before saying for sure. I guess I could move my 360 to SDTV to play or something. Hmm I am not sure if my school start at Monday... I'll need to check that out too.

I was thinking of the following roster:

Nissan Speedway (5 laps)

- 2003 Audi #1 Chapmion RS6 (R4)
- 2002 Audi #1 Champion S4 Competition (R4)
- 2004 Volvo #24 At-speed S60R (R4)

Those are all forgiving cars, because they all have an AWD powertrain.

Mugello Autodromo Internazionale (3 laps)

- 2004 Ferrari F430 (A)
- 2005 TVR Sagaris (A)
- 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago (A)
- 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano (A)
- 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo (A)

Those cars are not too difficult to handle, but they may be a bit of challenge for newcomers.

What is the policy on assists by the way?

I am pretty new and have been running with most assists and a mix of all lines/just break pointers. AI on normal, damage on limited, and sometimes auto, sometimes manual. But then again I am new/stink ;)

Down with 4wd. They're stupidly easy to control, and there is no fun driving them. The fun comes with RWDs. The 430 is a good choice, excellent car, Gallardo is good as well (despite it's 4WD it tends to have a loose back, I like that).

I'd throw in some more super cars rather than GTs/Hypercars in. A 911 would be a good choice altho that's propably too much for new drivers, it corners very diffrent and without assists spinning this one is pretty easy. Carrera GT on the other hand would be a good one... I'm a big Porsche fan. ;)

Also I'd like to see Sebring (best track imo)/Laguna Seca or even Nordschleife. Damage should be off (or cosmetic) and collision on. Without collision I could as well race against the clock.

I played couple race's on today and yesterday. I didn't see anyone else than Acert93 from Gamersyde.

Lot's of crashing. heh I blame the lag ;) Btw be very carefully around Acert... I mean car parts are flying always when he is near. Hmm but yeah I would need to be a bit more carefully on corners. It's just that sometimes cars seems to move really strangely because of the lag. So it's really hard to try to go past (without crashing).

I saw Chief ans Isomac as well as a gent from B3D. We had fun. Isomac did a bit of ... uhhh ... unique passing ;) But to his credit he seemed to lag (he would be the only guy hopping around the track) and when he was in the clear he was clearly a superior driver. We did Megillo (long and short), Road Atlanta short, Maple Valley Long and Short. We eventually did Maple Valley Short with every class of cars (lest U). That was a lot of fun.
