Damn sorry to hear that, disc errors suck. It could either be the disc or maybe the 360 not sure.

Everything has been perfect for me thus far. The game might as well be running off the hdd because the game is pretty quick with pretty much everything it does. I heard that you can speed up cutscenes by pressing and holding X and A at the same time. It won't completely skip the cutscene, but supposedly it will speed things up a bit.

Yea, in the beginning, you were chasing after someone, but I didn't mind because I had a pretty good feeling that I wasn't going to catch up to them too soon.

The funniest thing is that the only boss to kill me so far has been the exact same boss from the demo. He was much tougher than he was in the demo since we didn't have as many moves. The rest of the fights, I really took it to the bosses.

Yea, the game does get pretty awesome around that spot. It doesn't let up for awhile either.

It definitely feels as though One Piece was partly an inspiration for the world in this game. There are certain things that when I see them the first thing that comes to mind is One Piece. A couple similarities here and there for me, but nothing wrong with that :)

Wow!! Seriously intense stuff. This game just keeps getting better and better.

Just finished getting through a pretty amazing stretch of the game where it was awesome turn of event after awesome turn of event and I suspect that I'm about to be thrown right back into some crazy stuff fairly soon.

This is seriously the next gen jrpg to own. Hopefully Infinite Undiscovery ends up as good. I know that game has some framerate issues, but I hope that's the extent of any serious problems.

Yuri's moveset, and pretty every other characters just continues to become so insane are they attempting to drive people mad with all the combo possibilities? :P

I have actually started playing as other characters now, Yuri is good, but Karol is a monster when you use his limits, learn stregth 1 and 2 and give him the strength talisman :)

Managed to get past my loading errors 360 is on its side for the time being and it seems to help a lot :S.

Wow. Just got through one absolutely brutal stretch of battles with no save point in site to bail me out.

I assume this is the section of the game a lot of people were saying they were having trouble with and they had change the game to easy to get past it. I considered doing just that for a brief moment, but then decided to stick it out because I knew I had some amazing combos I just needed to stop being intimidated by the enemy I was fighting and just go all out.

Story, since I last posted, has gotten a whole lot more interesting with some pretty big revelations in the story and the characters just continue to impress. Really digging the dialogue and, yet again, what a really well planned game. I could've done without the really brutal section of battles just now with no save points, but they've done a good job in regards to saves the entire game so I figure, considering what took place, they wanted to really make people sweat a bit at this part of the game and they definitely succeeded in that regard.

Another thing I'd like to point out is how great a job I think this game does at limiting player frustration at all costs. If you've been through some fairly lengthy dungeons and get the feeling that you'd like the process of going through this dungeon to be faster this time, usually they're already one step ahead of you and will place a go to closest exit glowing light there. I've seen it happen about 2 maybe 3 times now where I thought "wow they totally read my mind because I didn't want it to take as long going back through this as I did the first time"

Anyway I'm done for at least a couple hours. Need a break after that amazing scene.

Karol is pretty damn good, but I definitely haven't mastered him yet. I'm more interested in perfecting my Yuri even more currently and then I'll dabble with the rest later on.

When you seduced the guard at Heliore who did you choose to use, I chose Karol for a laugh and it was the most funny thing I have seen in a RPG in a while.

Seriously you aren't joking about that cell shaded CGI. It looks amazing.

Oh and Jolli I just had one of the craziest ideas, but I haven't given it a shot, but before I say it, I'll confirm whether or not you made it this far. Have you seen Belius yet by any chance? Maybe you got up to Belius in the japanese version, but just not in the usa version yet? If you did or are on your way to getting to that point in the usa version I might have a pretty cool idea regarding something you could try.

Also this is regarding the visuals in one of the towns. After that whole Heliord seduce the guard scene have you managed to get to the next 2 towns yet? If so, was that second town after exiting the cave beautiful or what? Not referring to the very first town your run into after exiting the cave, but the one after that one.

For the very first time since I started the game, I just went back to an older town.

Now there were plenty of cases where I revisited somewhere I had already been to, but in those cases I did it because it all tied into the story. I just tried, for heck of it, going to a random town and was extremely surprised at what resulted from my going there.

It wasn't exactly a random town. I went there for a reason, not at all because it was where the story was pointing me towards next, but because I wanted to see if the game would pick up on something I thought should make sense and i figured it was a good place to stock up on some stuff. I thought to myself if a certain group of individuals wanted to get to where I just saw them, then there is a good chance that their travels would've taken them past this town and there could even be a remote possibility that some of the townfoks would remember having seen these individuals and, to my surprise, I got a lot more than what I had been expecting. Not only did the characters react appropriately to what I had just witnessed in the story, I even spotted someone from the group I was talking about, trying to get information from the inn owner as to where the rest of the people from his group is. If that wasn't enough, after this person inquiring about his group had left, the characters also inquired about what that person was just talking about and started to ask some questions of their own as to their who the innkeeper saw and what they were doing there.

To top it off, they even added in perfectly appropriate dialog that linked directly back to my last boss fight and to make it even better, they also tossed in a small cutscene to put a cherry on top of the entire thing.

A character specific cutscene at that, that didn't involve the main character.

I chose this place at random on a small suspicion and my biggest motivation for even making the trip was to stock up on the best healing items I've found so far (and possibly a few weapons) and to also get rest at the inn since it would completely heal my entire party for cheap without using up my items or tp before I went off to the next story area.

Pretty cool that they put that much work into the revisiting of a town. There really is no way they could've suspected I would go back to this town right then and there and on top of it, who could've suspected they would so perfectly have dialog and cutscenes ready to perfectly tie in to what I not too long ago finished experiencing. I had a feeling older places would be worth checking out again on a random whim, but I had no idea it would be so worth it :D

I'm 45 hours in right now and things become pretty damn intense.

Some pretty awesome things end up happening in the story and the crazy part about all of what's happening is that I'm well aware that I'm not even close to being done.

There's a pretty awesome twist or sets of twists.

The Belius one was pretty crazy, but it's definitely conquerable. Now you get to try something, I never thought about trying.

Did you see what Estelle trying to heal Belius did to her? I'd say it would be pretty interesting to attempt use some of estelle's healing artes on Bellius during the fight just to see what happens. I just did a good job avoiding her more devasting attacks and demolished her with 40-60 hit combos and a bunch of fatal strikes. Never tried to see what estelle's healing artes would do to her, but it's definitely worth a shot.

Yea I just kept hitting her with combos and she went down, LOL I haven't figured out how to use Estelle :S

Oh I never use her, but if you want her to perform a specific ability just press y and then go to the artes menu and choose her attack. I'm sure you already knew that though.

I've found the ai to be extremely capable so far.

My main guy is Yuri. Yuri will seriously impress you with just how badass he is later story wise. There were some things that he said, that I'm still thinking about even now.

UPDATE: It seems like the Asian version of ToV is region locked for NTSC consoles only. Sorry PAL guys, in the meantime you guys can pick up Infinite Undiscovery. :(

I'm going to scour my monster book because there is a specific item I need to synthesize this awesome weapon, but I'm missing one more ingredient and only a specific type of monster drops it so I'm going to find out where it's located mostly and go hunting :D

Wow this game is full of so much win!

All the characters are just so well thought out and I liked Karol before, but I'm an even bigger fan of the character now after the amazing thing he just did.

Will definitely be one of the more memorable parts of the game for me when all is said and done, and there are quite a number of those moments to choose from to say the least. I seem to be about 67% done with the game's main story. 50 hours in so far and I've done zero side-quests.

Oh I'm also now able to change control to whichever character I please during combat. With all the amazing moves it might be a bit intimidating learning another character other than Yuri at first, but I definitely wanna learn so that when the moment really calls for it, I can switch to another character and perform their burst or Mystic Arte to help pound on a boss. (I have zero Mystic Artes so far)

All in all, I think this is quite possibly the best jrpg I've ever played. I've had a lot of fun with many other jrpgs, but never have I been as impressed with the cast of characters as I have been with this game, never have I been this impressed with the pacing of any jrpg. I just have an extremely high opinion of the game at this point. Going to be extremely tough from here on out for any jrpg to top this one for me personally.

Just speaking for myself, clearly not for anyone else, but this game is quite an accomplishment.
