lol. i think the most annoying bit for me was when my dog found some treasure in bowerstone old town down the side of 2 houses. so i went to dig it up but i didnt realise about 50 people (mostly children asking for my FUCKING AUTOGRAPH) came up behind me blocking my exit ! so i dug up the treasure which turned out to be something shit like a carrot or something. and i tried for about 10 mins to find a gap out of there, trying to use expressions to scare them away or something which didnt work , and you cant push npcs out the way, so after about 10 mins of swearing frustration i literally had to murder my way out of there. i must have killed about 50 poeple i became the most hated person in albion ect i became evil in a few seconds lol. but it was the only way out! stupid thick moronic bastards!!!! ive never been so annoyed at a game in all my life. after hours of good deeds and sacrifices to be 'good' i went evil because of the stupid thick as shit npcs

anyway. rant over.sorry. back to tomb raider...

well its too bad fable 2 was a steaming pile of shit cos that little tip would have been great knowing for a second play through ;P not much use now though. you will have to tell whoevers bought the second hand copy from gamestaion, or actually dont. they can go through the emotional torment i had to go through aswell. even my PROSTITUE WIFE felt she could look down on me, she called me a murderer for weeks.the slag. still, nothing gifting her all the shit items my dog found to make her think im amazing again couldnt solve.i even gave her the fucking carrot,i dread to think what she did with it.but what a waste of an hour or so that whole event was. but i suppose at least it added a much needed hour or so to the shit length of the main story. even if it was spent taring my hair out and swearing at my tv.well at least it evoked more emotion from me then when my dog died. but feeling anger at the thick as shit npc's proboboly wasnt the emotion peter was going on and fucking on about for the last 2 years...

i could talk about fable 2 for hours. so i'll just stop. back to... errr... what thread is this? im too angry with fable 2 to remember now

btw. save yourself precious life and dont save up for bowerstone castle. of the WHOLE castle it only has ONE window. i couldnt wait to get to the highest point and gloat over the kingdom of thick as shit NPCs i became the ruler of, only to find out theres only one tiny window with the most dissapointing view ever.

Alright, after about 4 Hours in, I am currently in Thailand. Taking my sweet time with it :D and this is BY FAR *THE* Best tomb Raider and the best of the series. Puzzles are SO EPIC and the leve design is incredibly clever and well made. The camera has some issues but nothing serious, once you get used to how it works, it's a piece of cake.

I urge anyone who likes the genre to give the game a chance. This is absolute Tomb Raiding goodness.

Run to enemy and press X - Lara will go to slo-mo and u must move analog to the enemie and then shoot.

Jump from the enemy:
Run to enemy and press A - Lara made head stomp(or somethink like this, my english is shit sorry) - this is good when enemys is really close to u or use it to run over when stick granade on the enemy like in halo. shoot to blow it

If u want only to use slo-mo, press right analog

slo-mo bar recharged only if u will shoot some time on the enemy

Reps from the UK PR firm for Eidos have confirmed that they're asking publications not to release any reviews for Tomb Raider: Underworld below an 8/10 until Monday. The firm says they're doing so at the request of Eidos, which is trying to manage the scores for as long as it can. The game is currently sporting a 78 on Metacritic.
Wow. That's horrible.

And whatever happened to liking a game for what it is, anyway? Do fans always need to insist that a game be a B-to-A+ title in order to be enjoyable? I loved Tomb Raider Legend, and if I were to write a review I wouldn't give it more than a C+. The thing is, the platforming is what sells the game to its fans, and the platforming is so good that it makes the rest of the package shine just a little brighter.

Some people need to get real. The combat sucks, the story is stupid (but charming!), and the camera is god-awful. Big whup, enjoy the game anyway.. 'cause Lara rocks at... climbing rocks.

tbh, an awful camera isnt an easily ignored issue imo, since there where numerous times in the demo alone where you couldnt actually SEE where you where suposed to jump because the camera was acting so erratically. its an issue thats plagued the game since the begining and you'd think by.... what is it now, 8th? 9th? game they'd have sorted it out.

i'd say maybe next time, but honestly, if 9th time isnt the charm, then i cant imagine the 10th to be either.

The camera didn't prevent me from completing a single jump in the demo, nor did it really make the demo particularly challenging. It also didn't prevent me from enjoying Legend or Anniversary. If that's a deal breaker for you, that's cool, but some people are going to enjoy it anyway. It's not that I'm ignoring these issues, quite the opposite really, I actually don't understand why fans insist on saying they're non issues.

Whatever you say but the camera is a NON issue for me period. anyone else feel free to slack it off. Cameras in this genre of games are FAR from perfect since the dawn of time.

There are some stupid bugs though. I got stuck in Mexico after I missed the opening of a "door" because I couldn't make it in time. There was no way to get the "door" to open again as it should have. I had to reload an old save (hopefully I had one and not just the one you get when you start the level...) and do it all again. :/

Really ? Dont take this the wrong way but maybe you just missed out on something that could let you open the door again ?

I have to admit, the puzzles sometimes are quite hard but that's what I always loved about tomb raider :D I disabled all help options, no floating icons showing interactive bits, I am not using the sonar map, the help option in the menu or her journal. Sure, sometimes, I got stuck but it was all worth it in the end especialy when you find out what you had to do and go "Aha, I see" - pure gaming joy 7 reward.

No I did not miss anything, it was a bug. Believe me. I did just the same for my second playthrough of this part of the level and it worked just fine...

For now I have never really found any of the puzzles to be hard by the way. ;)

Well not the puzzles themselves but in the Thailand level for example when you put in the first gem to get the light to shine ..... how the hell were we supposed to know how we could climb to the other side to do the same thing ...... It just didnt occur to me that I could just grapple from down below. Well I guess if I had the visual cues on the X button would have appeared but I had those Off, you see. Do you have them on or off ?

There are off too but I took the long way (down the big "chasm" at the back of the "room") to reach the left side and did not use the grappling hook like for the right side.

But anyway it seems pretty logical to me that when you do something on one side of a statue, you have to do likewise on the other side. It's all very "Tomb Raidery". ^^

See but there's a difference between something being a non-issue and you being okay with ignoring it for the bits of the game which you think are great. Does anyone actually think that Tomb Raider has great combat--or that its vehicle portions are well designed? No. Well.. someone does.. most fans don't. We enjoy the bits that we do like so much that it makes the other stuff more bearable. There's nothing wrong with loving a 6-7/10 sort of game.

Alright, I've just hit a serious bug and the mother of all bugs is the BLOODY MOTORBIKE. It spawns back to the starting point when you die and guess what I cant go back to where it is WITHOUT it .... This is some serious shit and It really pains me because the game is Fantastic. Now I have to restart an entire level to do it again .... Aaa Crystal Dyncamis, NOT COOL at all!!!!
