There's a section about the game in the new 1up Show. The impression are really good generally and game looks awesome.
BTW I totally cannot comprehend how someone might not like Lara's looks. Sure, her design is very cartoonish, but it's a deliberate choice and really awesome at that. I love it the more I see it in motion.

It is definitely a more significant update to Legend than most sources will have you believe. Graphically it's less sophisticated than Uncharted, but just like I reckon Legend did, this knows how to use its "material" to create absolutely STUNNING set pieces. The framerate issues of Legend are gone as far as I can tell from the demo, and the sense of wonder and discovery is absolutely intact.

No other game can give me a tingling sensation from seeing grand architecture/exotic places, but this really has you understanding and sharing Lara's passion.

I can write more in depth about the gameplay later. Bit pressed for time right now.

good demo, but truley HORRIBLE combat and camera. half the time you cant even see where the hell you'r suposed to jump, and most other times its just being plain erratic. definately a game im going to be renting tho.

To be honest though I am almost obscenely biased towards the theme and the genre, and this will be among the most fun games of the generation for me. Sad perhaps, but so true it makes me giddy.

Third playthrough of the demo now and I've turned all difficulty settings up to the max. :D

It's so deliciously open aswell. First time I didn't even realise I could dive down into the water and have sharks chomping at my perfectly sculptured buttocks. Lara's are also nice.

Oh well I tried the 360 demo and it was fun. Only thing that bothered me was the camera and shadows.

Yeah, the tradeoff is that it looks stunning during gameplay. Uncharted also had trouble with the shadows but they seemed to keep them out of people's faces during cutscenes.

Uncharted just does a great job of hiding them, and it's a complete non issue ingame. If you look at the belt he's wearing when they're flying to the island, notice the shadow cast by it on Nate's chest. Ewness.


The funny thing is I asked Acert this one billion years ago. When I got my hands on a few 360 games it immediately stood out as my MAIN ENEMY, ruining the best of art styles. It's why I still often prefer older/lower tech graphics.
