A friend of mine is also having a hard time in Mexico because of another bug: the rain and thunder stop and every time he reaches a cutscene after it happens, the game crashes...

Eidos deserves a red card to say the least...

Unfortunately, today people have to deal with unfinished games because the publishers know they can patch them after release. The problem is you usually get to complete the games before the patch is ready and you enjoy crashes or horrible gameplay (see Alone in the Dark for example...).

Tried the Demo PC version and i have to say this game looks amazing.

Will probably end up getting the PC version at some point.

I think I am back to 1996! when the first Tomb Raider was released ...............

So I finished Underworld after taking my sweet time with it. It took me about 14 Hours. Needless to say, the game has some issues especially the camera and quite a few glitches and even one or two game stopping bugs (solved by going to earlier check points, so dont worry). Clearly, Crystal Dynamics needed more time to polish this game up but I can safely say they are heading in the right direction.

An incredible sense of Adventure and exploration has been created here through a fantastic combination of brilliant level design and art direction. A breathtaking atmosphere, incredible graphics and an epic soundtrack. The whole lot screams HUGE production values.

The story was quite good and was well set up except for a rather unsatisfying ending. Perhaps my hunger for more rendered it that way ? who knows.

All in all, issues aside, I can safely say: this is BY FAR this is the best tomb raider sequel EVER! It even surpasses Tomb Raider 4 which was my favourite sequel after the original of course.

Roll On Tomb Raider 9. I cant wait!

i think they should make the next tomb raider more raw
and more unpredictable.

for example, instead of raiding tombs trying to find an artifact she seems to know everything about. why not start the game raiding a just discovered tomb and you go into it knowing nothing about what you might stumble upon.

also, much less combat. whats the point fighting men that just stand and let you shoot them. its just like a chore to do inbetween the more fun parts. also it should be much more realistic ie, it shouldnt take like 10 shots to finally kill someone... i mean for gods sake.

and make it raw, by which i mean make lara more vunerable to injury, to the envioroment, she should be exhausted after doing her acrobatics, therefore unable to contiue until she regains her breath. which i would belive would encouage the player to take there bloody time and think about how to do the next part instead of just doing trial and error. less gadets. no contact with anyone else (or maybe to add effect she could loose contact after the first few levels or something) oh yeah and tigers shouldnt attack you straight away, this would give you a chance to avoid them therefore giving you more ways to play the game if you dont want to fight them. they should be a little more docile, untill you come to close that is , then they can attack, but another route could be provided to give those who would think safer to avoid fighting a pack of lions is the better idea.

Finally got it today! I haven't been able to afford it until now, and with Prince of Persia coming out in the same space more or less I wanted to see how that panned out to decide what to play first.

Well Tomb Raider it is! And I'll just play some classic Banjo (got nuts & bolts for myself for christmas) and eat something first before diving into a sweaty, sexy, exotic adventure!

And after that I'll play Tomb Raider...! :P

Just swimming down into the unknown depths at the beginning of the game makes it worth the price of admission. :D

Approaching the door with all help buttons turned off and actually having to look and try is awesome.

Well the ending of this game was total BS, although the last level was rather well done.

I like the idea of the downloadble content but seeing as I got the PC version I guess I miss out .. :(
