On the other hand, without fixing the d-pad on the 360 controller manually, it's pretty useless. |

2008-07-11 18:48:57 If you honestly find the NES pad that uncomfortable then you probably have princess hands. To this day I still find it one of the most robust, responsive and right-amount-of-spongy pads there are. Sadly, the Wiimote isn't remotely (HAAH!) up to par, but it certainly gives you an admirable NES like authencity with its reasonably classic approach to the d-pad and its two buttons. |

2008-07-11 19:15:06 If you honestly think that the NES pad is an example of good ergonomics than you must be some kind of machine, because that thing was not constructed for human hands. It's small, granted, which makes it relatively easy to hold, but it's about as ergonomic as a brick. Not so surprising, considering its brick-like shape. There's absolutely no reason that Mega Man 9 need be played with an "authentic" representation of the NES controller. |

2008-07-11 20:31:44 Well, seeing as you're not enthusiastic about having a faithfully 8 bit soundtrack to the game I'm not sure you're in a position to make that call. This is a game for fans of the NES games, of course every detail that brings it closer to that experience is a step in the right direction. |

2008-07-11 20:38:07 So basically, playing Mega Man 9 should be as close to the experience of playing Mega Man 2 as possible. It begs the question -- why not just go play Mega Man 2 instead? You can even blow on the cartridge, surely that will enhance the gameplay experience! |

2008-07-19 00:56:08 Order of Ecclesia is looking absolutely juice-tastic. Not only is the main character really cool; the backgrounds are awesome too. |

2008-07-19 01:08:26 Well, DS and Wii media is pretty obscene amounts of neglected in the E3 blowout around here, so I took it upon myself, being a champion of both platforms and all. :D |

2008-07-19 01:40:14 I played the first (best game I played on my GC, and yes that includes Zelda:TWW) and have little interest in the second it looks terrible from what I have seen of it.. --- |

2008-07-19 01:46:39 Really? I've only seen a couple of screenshots, and the design looks really nice. :O |

2008-07-19 01:50:21 It just looks really akward how they have brought the old characters back, not to mention the new characters are really annoying, I just watched some new E3 videos over at gametrailers. --- |

2008-07-19 02:23:11 Have you played TOS yet, if not I suggest you do, its a great game, bit slow paced, a bit long winded but non the less good. --- |

2008-07-19 02:45:24 I have Nocturne, Devil Summoner, DDS2 and Persona 3, Shadow Hears: Covenant, Shadow Hearts: From the New World, Final Fantasy X FFX-2, FFVIII and Chrono Cross still wrapped, so I think I'd best wait a while before investing in new titles. |

2008-07-19 02:49:04 LOL RPG over kill, well I guess your set for the next 3 months at least :D --- |

2008-07-19 02:58:29 lol, yeah, although three months seems optimistic. :D |

2008-07-19 03:21:39 Well thats kind of a shame you are avoiding FF,as much as I like Shin Megami Tensei games I don't think they are anywhere near as good as FF games, I find the turn based to be far too slow, and the lurning curve is quite harsh at times :P --- |

2008-07-19 03:38:34 Yeah they are very depressing, and they're genuinely dark in tone which is rare for me to like. They're just very honest in their darkness though, and their motifs are often very well thought out as opposed to slapped on for effect. Also, they are actually genuinely mature in their subject matter. Not just because there's blood and demons and tits, but because there's often a really unnerving quality to the stories. |

2008-07-31 02:36:29 Yea I don't think those are in game, at least looking at FF 3 and 4's efforts. --- |
