really, overwhelmingly positive previews? not like we haven't heard that before....killzone 1
killzone 1 had less then possitive previews. it had a shit load of hype surrounding it, claiming it to be the "halo killer"...but the reviews ended up echoing the previews. they called out the AI, called out the bugs and called out the lack of innovation...and that was at the preview stage. killzone 2 seems to be the opposite, i think its pretty clear just by looking at it in motion that the game is hella improved since the the first. and the previews show that.

Well I have been deep analyzing the gameplay with Killzone 2 compared with Killzone 1, and the entire shooting is vastly improved.

The hit detection, bullet range, the movement...key features that makes a shooters, shooting great, which Killzone 1 lacked alot, its improved in Killzone 2.

That why I know I will love Killzone 2, because the MP from the beta seems very awesome, the ar, visuals and even the sound is amazing.

I just wish I was in the beta, if not, I hope they make a public beta with keys and such, would be great.

But like I said before, only FPS I am waiting for on console/s...until Crytek makes something like Crysis (hopefully).

Here is a classic...don't watch anymore until you get the game :P

But on a serious note, I agree with you, I want to see different locations to atleast to know that there are various environments you know.

But whatever.

I read a few previews and AI and gameplay wise they have been far from positive previews, i hope the AI gets sorted before release as one time is forgivable but twice would not be.

Game looks great, but I'm beginning to wonder if there are any different environments at all? This environment isn't all that spectacular to begin with, so why do they keep insisisting on showing this dull, bland level over and over again?!

Gameplay still doesn't convince me, but the graphics really are top notch.

the AI looks great. theres a vid floating about showing the ai and its pretty impressive stuff.

there the vid, looks pretty good to me. they also have awareness in terms of objects in the environment. shown in another part of that same video. where they set the AI running laps and dropped barrels in front of them.

plus liberation had pretty impressive AI as well, so i cant imagine GG taking a step BACKWARDS in terms of AI tbh.

i think they should show the lighting stage again some time, we've seen it before, but it'd make a change from this level being shown over and over again.

i'd personally be happy with a cod4 level of AI. im not expecting FEAR levels of AI. just something half decent like cod4.

i like the monotone colour pallet personally, never understoof that complaint as long as its a clear stylistic decision. it may look bland to a lot of people, but to me it makes what colour there is really "pop". different strokes tho right. i mean, if i had something against killzones art style then i'd probably hate gears of wars art style and fallout 3's art style too, but those games look great stylistically.
I hate Gears of War's desaturated style, I'd rather have this one. Feels more gritty and less cheap of an effect. I remember Halo 3 having recently a 'Gears of War filter' ;) And no, I'm not a fanboy, I don't own Gears of have a PS3.

ALAS after putting all the SPE'S to work for the visual part of KZ2 there was not much left to control the A.I.

A.I is simply dreadful! There goes the gameplay!
Put on easy (dumb ai) for these press shows, because as you can see by the video, press sucks at playing.
